Child and Adolescent Outpatient Program

If your child or adolescent is having a psychiatric or medical emergency, please dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room for evaluation and treatment.

Child Psychiatry outpatient services are available at the UCI Health Neuropsychiatric Center at the medical center in Orange and at Centerpointe in Newport Beach. Our services are provided by child psychiatrists, child psychologists and licensed clinical social workers.

Outpatient services are available for children and adolescents ages three to eighteen. We provide services utilizing a biopsychosocial framework, using a patient-centered model when developing a plan of care that is unique to the individual needs of our patients.

Our outpatient services include:

• Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation
• Psychological testing
• Medication management
• Parent education
• Therapy, including therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy and family therapy

Our goal is to work with the family and the patient to improve functioning and secure positive behavioral changes.
