Radiologists save lives by locating and describing conditions with an array of technologies that enable physicians to treat patients with a better understanding of specific physical ailments or disorders. Surgeons also rely on radiologists to precisely locate a surgical site and to guide them through complex procedures.

Our collaborative UCI Health radiology team uses the most technologically advanced equipment to ensure an accurate diagnosis and, ultimately, better treatment for you. Our interventional radiologists also lead the way in offering minimally invasive, image-guided diagnosis and treatment, and often provide specialized services like women’s imaging, abdominal imaging and more. 

We provide imaging and diagnostic services at UCI Medical Center, which is home to Orange County’s only Level I trauma center and primary stroke center. We also provide services at UCI Health locations in Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Irvine, Newport Beach, Tustin and Yorba Linda. View our locations ›

  • Our radiologists collaborate across teams, with oncologists, surgeons and medical engineers. This has resulted in pioneering laser-based techniques that have improved early detection of breast cancer.
  • Our interventional radiologists work closely with our surgical specialists to provide minimally invasive treatments for patients with kidney, lung cancer and other cancers.

  • We have the region’s only intraoperative MRI, which produces highly detailed, 3D images of the brain during all phases of an operation.

Our highly skilled team of radiologists diagnose and help treat a broad spectrum of conditions, including:

We use Pluvicto, a targeted treatment for prostate cancer. Pluvicto offers precise, personalized radiation therapy, targeting cancer cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissue, resulting in effective treatment with reduced side effects and enhanced comfort for patients

Walk in

General X-rays do not need an appointment and are performed on a walk-in basis at UCI Medical Center, Gottschalk Medical Plaza, UCI Health — Tustin and UCI Health — Yorba Linda.
