The UC Irvine Health Planning Administration department oversees every aspect of making UC Irvine Medical Center the beautiful, world-class facility it is today.

We collaborate with various stakeholders and campus departments and units to facilitate and realize their programmatic or operational needs when building or altering facilities.

With a dedicated staff of project managers, contract administrators, document control, fire marshal and inspection staff, Planning Administration manages and monitors projects from inception to closeout, including programming, design, bidding, construction, budgets and schedule.

CDDC Expansion



The H.H. Chao Comprehensive Digestive Disease Center (CDDC) is the only facility in Orange County to provide state-of-the-art care to patients with digestive diseases.


The CDDC is undergoing an expansion of all three floors. The renovation includes the addition of stairs and an elevator, renovation/remodeling of existing spaces, HVAC and other utility upgrades, and a new patient entrance. Coming summer 2017.
