IN THE NEWS: Jordan Gray, 8-year-old San Clemente resident, visited UC Irvine Medical Center on Wednesday to donate $167 she raised at a lemonade stand for the hospital’s Child Life program, which supports children who are having surgery.

Jordan was born with amniotic banding syndrome, which caused deformities in her hands and feet. Dr. Neil Jones, chief of hand surgery, has operated on her numerous times, including a thumb to toe transplant, and performed surgeries to separate her fingers. Despite having been through numerous surgeries since infancy, Jordan maintains a cheerful outlook and a remarkable generosity of spirit.

CBS2 reporter Michele Gile interviewed Jordan, her mother Jennifer, and siblings Noah and Charlotte.
