UCI Health neurosurgeon elected chair of national Council of State Neurosurgical Societies

The Council of State Neurosurgical Societies has elected UCI Health neurosurgeon Mark E. Linskey, MD, as chairman at the group’s April 2013 national meeting.
The council operates under the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. It is the major platform and forum for all state neurosurgical societies in the United States. It also is a forum for discussion, consideration and proposed action regarding health policy and socioeconomic issues related to the practice of neurological surgery.
Linskey, who is a professor of neurological surgery at UC Irvine School of Medicine, will serve as chairman from 2013-15.
