Our UC Irvine Health team is led by Dr. Dan Cooper and Dr. Kim Lu, who are board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric pulmonologists with more than 40 years of combined experience delivering patient-centered care to Orange County children and their families.
We provide comprehensive pulmonary function testing and exercise/fitness testing. We also use the most advanced technology, including bronchoscopes, to examine the inside of the respiratory tract.
We emphasize close consultation with family members as well as good communication with the child’s primary care pediatrician.
To ensure that your child receives comprehensive care, we work closely with other specialists as needed, including radiologists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, neurologists, developmental pediatricians and pediatric cardiologists as needed.
We also collaborate with registered pediatric dietitians, occupational and physical therapists, social workers and case managers.
We believe an important part of caring for a child's health is to help address any needs the child and family may have for additional community resources or services.
