The movement disorders team diagnoses and treats the following conditions:
- Ataxia
- Blepharospasm
- Cervical dystonia (torticollis)
- Essential tremor and other forms of tremor
- Hemifacial spasm
- Huntington’s disease
- Limb spasticity (from stroke, multiple sclerosis or trauma)
- Myoclonus

- Normal pressure hydrocephalus
- Parkinson’s disease
- Parkinsonian syndromes (including progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple system atrophy and corticobasal degeneration)
- Restless leg syndrome
- Spasmodic dysphonia
- Tic and Tourette syndrome
- Writer’s cramp (focal action dystonia)

We treat movement disorders by selecting therapies that best meet the needs of the individual patient. Treatments and services may include:
- Medications
- Rehabilitative therapies (physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy)
- Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections
- Neurosurgery, including deep brain stimulation (DBS)
