Why choose us

Using the most sophisticated technology, we treat both cancerous and benign tumors. Many of our patients who require endocrine surgery benefit from our emphasis on minimally invasive surgery, which reduces side effects and speeds recovery time.

Our program is at the forefront of advances in endocrine surgery, including:

  • Thyroid cancer surgery

The most common cancers of the thyroid gland are highly curable with surgery alone or in combination with radioactive iodine treatment. Benign thyroid tumors can be removed through a small incision in the armpit, thus avoiding a neck incision.

  • Laparoscopic adrenalectomy

Our surgeons remove benign tumors of the adrenal gland with minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery to minimize surgical risks and promote faster healing. Adrenal surgery is sometimes used to treat Cushing's disease, a disorder caused when a pituitary tumor overstimulates the adrenal glands.

  • Parathyroidectomy

Benign growths on the small parathyroid glands can be challenging to remove. Our surgeons use advanced imaging techniques and minimally invasive surgery to detect and remove these tumors with optimal results.

  • Intraoperative hormone monitoring
By monitoring hormone levels during surgery, we are able to use safer minimally invasive techniques in 85 percent of cases.
