Chondrosarcomas are rare, slow-growing tumors of the skull base.
The tumor typically affects adults between the ages of 20 and 60 years old. Men are more likely to get it than women.
Surgical removal of the tumor is the most common treatment. Because the tumor involves the bony skull base, achieving full resection may require several different approaches to the skull base.
