Dermatology Services: Dermatopathology Laboratory

The UC Irvine Health Dermatopathology Laboratory is the leader in assessing biopsies and tissue samples for our university clinicians as well as for community physicians throughout Orange County and the region.

The lab, directed by Dr. Sébastien de Feraudy, uses the CoPath Pathology Management system to better serve referring physicians. The web-based reporting system provides results with a quick turnaround time, using secure automatic faxing and web access of reports that meets patient privacy requirements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Slides and specimens are read by a board-certified UC Irvine Health dermatopathologist. We also provide second opinions for patients who have been given a diagnosis by another physician.

For more information or to make a consultation, please call 714-456-5556.
