High-risk pregnancies can be a cause for concern for the family and the healthcare team.
As many as 10 percent of pregnancies are considered high risk, but with expert care, 95 percent of these special cases result in the birth of healthy babies.
At Corona Regional Medical Center, we offer detailed, level II ultrasounds, pre-pregnancy planning and high-risk obstetric consultations to ensure that the mother and the baby are healthy through pregnancy and immediately after birth.
High-risk conditions include:
- The expectation of twins, triplets or more
- Genetic conditions
- High blood pressure
- History of miscarriage
- Maternal cardiac disease
- Previous poor pregnancy outcomes
- Symptoms of premature labor
