Dr. David So is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement for the treatment of knee and hip arthritis. He also treats patients with meniscal injuries of the knee, tears of the patellar and quad tendons, avascular necrosis of the hip, fractures of the proximal femur, infections of knee and hip replacements and fractures around joint replacements.

So’s research interests include periprosthetic joint infections and risk factors associated with the failure of two-stage reimplantation procedures, as well as hip/spine relations pertaining to the optimal position of the acetabular cup.

So received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery from Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit and a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
