Dr. Jeffry T. Nahmias is a board-certified UCI Health trauma and critical care surgeon whose clinical interests include emergency surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.

Nahmias earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, Fla. After completing a residency in general surgery at University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, he finished a fellowship in surgical critical care at UC Irvine School of Medicine.

Nahmias actively participates in local and national research studies on trauma prevention and care for the critically ill or injured. With a passion for surgical education, he is pursuing a master’s degree in Health Professions Education in order to best train the next generation of surgeons.

Nahmias currently sees patients at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange.
