Dr. Carol A. Major is a board-certified UCI Health obstetrician who specializes in maternal-fetal medicine and high-risk pregnancies.

Major earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UC San Francisco, followed by a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the UCI School of Medicine and UCI Medical Center.  

Her research interests include the management of diabetes in pregnancy, premature rupture of membranes and preterm labor. She is the author or co-author of numerous publications in prominent journals. She also serves as the UCI School of Medicine's assistant dean for Student Inclusive Excellence.
