Dr. Klempner is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist who specializes in the care of patients with gastric, esophageal and thoracic malignancies. The fellowship-trained specialist is also an expert in bone marrow biopsy and lumbar puncture.

A translational researcher with a focus on early phase clinical trials, Klempner works on targeted molecular therapies and the identification of patient and tumor characteristics to help identify patient subgroups likely to be sensitive or resistant to certain treatments. Klempner also has published several articles and abstracts, as well as two book chapters related to his work.
