Dr. Abi-Jaoudeh is a board-certified UC Irvine Health internist who specializes in vascular and interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive image guided interventions, including but not limited to, oncological interventions, such as chemoembolization, radioembolization, ablations, as well as vascular and non-vascular interventions.
Abi-Jaoudeh earned her medical degree from the University of Montreal and completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Laval Internal Medicine in Québec, Canada where she also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology. Abi-Jaoudeh followed with a fellowship in interventional radiology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. During that time, she was a principal investigator on three human protocols and an associate investigator on over 15 protocols.
Abi-Jaoudeh has authored multiple manuscripts and submitted two patents related to imaging technology in the angiography suite. Her research interests include navigation systems during image guided procedures, aortic disease, high intensity focused ultrasound and innovative therapeutic methods of thrombolysis and cancer treatments. Her goal is to grow a translation research program to improve UC Irvine patient care and outcome.
Additionally, Abi-Jaoudeh is a member of the Royal Canadian College of Radiology and of several radiological societies. She is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology and associate editor of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
