This class reviews the link between diet and heart disease, including “good” vs. “bad” fats. Topics include American Heart Association recommended nutrition guidelines for low-fat, low-cholesterol and low-sodium diets. This class will also review how to eat and enjoy healthy food and cooking methods to maintain heart health.
Fee: Free to UC Irvine Health patients, staff, volunteers and your families / $20 for community members.
