Diabetes Management (3 Class Series)

The goal of this series is to help you and your family understand what diabetes is and how to manage it to prevent long-term complications. Topics include the disease process, short- and long-term complications, diet, meal planning, exercise and medications. We will teach you how to monitor your blood sugar levels and your own lifestyle changes. A free glucometer will be given to each registered person.

This three-class series is offered in two sessions:

  • June 7, 14, 21
  • Oct. 4, 11, 18

Fee: Free to UC Irvine Health patients, staff, volunteers and your families / $20 for community members
