Community Parent Education (COPE)

This 9-week class series for parents of children ages 3 to 5 is designed to help you better manage your child’s behaviors. Taught by Child Behavior Pathways, a joint program of the UC Irvine Health Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders and CHOC Children’s, these classes use evidence-based curriculum to teach:

  • Positive parent-child interactions
  • Prevention of disruptive behaviors
  • Responses to attention-getting behaviors
  • Improvements to attention span, social skills and self-esteem


Classes are held in Lake Forest. They are two hours long (starting at 5:30 p.m.) and are held every Thursday from July 13 through September 7.
