Peaches are a summertime staple and they’re the perfect snack to help manage your weight.

Packed with a great deal of nutrients — including vitamin A, niacin and potassium — peaches have few calories and no fat. They're also an excellent source of fiber and ideal for keeping cholesterol low. When paired with raspberries, you’ll receive a dose of vitamin K, vitamin C and magnesium.

Looking for an extra source of protein? Add a scoop or two of your favorite protein powder for the ultimate healthy beverage.

Peach-Raspberry Smoothie

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced peaches, fresh, frozen or canned (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 cup fat-free vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen unsweetened raspberries; reserve six berries for garnish
  • Mint leaves (optional), for garnish

Directions

Add peaches, yogurt, ice and all but six raspberries into a blender and puree.

Serve in a tall glass, garnished with the reserved berries. The smoothie will be thick enough to float them on top.

Add fresh mint leaves for a fun presentation.
